Mt gratitude is due to God, and to his people, for the kindness with which this little work has been received. A second edition is demanded at a much earlier period than I had anticipated. I have prepared it with as much attention as my circumstances would permit. Some portions of the book, as will be seen, haye been recast, and a new Chapter has been added, on Infant Salvation. More perspicuity and conclnsiyeness haye, as I think, been thus given to some of the arguments, and the whole work made much more complete.
