Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book provides a close examination of the doctrine of Christ's single sacrifice as presented in the Epistle to the Hebrews. The author, a respected theologian of his time, argues that the traditional interpretation of the text, which implies a continuous sacrifice of Christ in the heavens, is not supported by the passage and is inconsistent with the overall message of the book. An alternative interpretation is proposed that understands the offering as a one -time event completed on the cross and that presents Christ's priestly work in heaven as one of continuous intercession rather than repeated sacrifice. The author's insights challenge prevailing assumptions about Christ's priesthood and offer a fresh perspective on the significance of his atoning death.
