This book presents a comprehensive overview of systematic corrections to observed north polar distances deduced from reflection observations at Greenwich from 1851 to 1864 and from 1866 to 1893. The author examines the observed positions of reected stars, as given in the annual volumes, and the systematic corrections depending on the values of R D, at Greenwich, during these periods. The author presents formulas to represent the supposed observed errors and provides the mean values of R D for each group in each year, by groups covering, approximately, the same number of degrees in as well as the mean values for each seven years.
