McNeill would contribute poetry to various publications as a student, and eventually, as a faculty member of Mercer University in Georgia. The author of this book was a close friend of McNeill's, and through personal anecdotes and archival sources, reveals the depth of McNeill's talent and the breadth of his impact on the literary landscape of his time.
