Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is an indictment of Prussian militarism by the author, a German-born American. The author served in the German army thirty years ago, and he was well acquainted with a number of the leading personages of the country. He was an active participant in promoting German art in America, and he was proud of his German heritage. However, he is ashamed of what he views as the Germanys' betrayal of its ideals. He detests the evils committed in Belgium and Northern France and the Lusitania murders. He was an eyewitness to the transformation of the German people under the influence of Prussianism, which he loathes. He believes that the German people have been misled and deceived by their rulers. The author calls on German-Americans to speak out against the evils of Prussianism and to help to bring about a more just and peaceful world.
