He detests the evils committed in Belgium and Northern France and the Lusitania murders. He was an eyewitness to the transformation of the German people under the influence of Prussianism, which he loathes. He believes that the German people have been misled and deceived by their rulers. The author calls on German-Americans to speak out against the evils of Prussianism and to help to bring about a more just and peaceful world.
