Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book traces the history of the various teratogenic theories that have been handed down to us from early ages, or have sprung up within more recent times. The light which experimental teratogeny has thrown upon these theories is also referred to, and thereafter the way in which teratogenic causes act is discussed. Since much of the work that has been instrumental in bringing about this improved condition of matters has been little, if at all, referred to in current medical literature and since, also, the practical bearings of several of the discoveries that have been made are very evident and of great importance, it has seemed to the author desirable and opportune to pass in review the teratological theories that have been from time to time advanced, and to indicate the lines along which recent research has been working and the results which have been thus obtained. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9781334576171_0
