Hazel Quintanilla is a children’s book author and illustrator known for her playful, expressive storytelling and vibrant visual style. She has illustrated hundreds of books published in the US and internationally, including the popular early reader series Unicorn and Yeti by Heather Ayris Burnell. Her author-illustrator debut, the bilingual Monsteritos series, published by Scholastic Acorn, brings humor and heart to early readers while celebrating language and culture. Hazel lives in California.
