The writer has therefore endeavoured to avoid the minuteness which might render the subject tedious, and has only to add, that her information is derived from Reaumur sM emoires, Shaw sL ectures, and that interesting work, the Introduction toE ntomology; from which, in fact, the principal accounts are taken, and in which the discoveries of other naturalists are collected in the most attractive form.
