Présentation de l'éditeur

Natural Method op Physical Training has more than one explanation, but it is doubtless true that the chief cause of the books popularity has been its effort to present a natural method of giving vigor to the body without calling in the artificial aids of apparatus or harsh systems of dieting. Every system of training the word is used here and elsewhere in the book in its broader meaning and not to signify athletics that is dependent upon apparatus is necessarily a spasmodic training. Men and women cannot carry such training about with them. If they travel, or are greatly occupied in something that keeps them away from the gymnastic machinery, their training is suspended. The system set forth in this book has attempted to show that the only direct method of keeping the body vigorous is by correcting artificial restraint, carrying the body correctly, breathing correctly amd otherwise following a logical system of giving the muscles and organs free and natural play, and opportunity to develop symmetry and strength.
