She has published widely in the areas of francophone literature and postcolonial theory, including most recently Decolonising the Intellectual: Politics, Culture, and Humanism at the End of the French Empire (2014) and Writing After Postcolonialism: Francophone North African Literature in Transition (Bloomsbury, 2017).
