Francesca Coin is a sociologist, writer and university professor whose work focuses on labour and social inequality. She is currently based at the University of Parma, Italy. She is the author of several books and articles on contemporary working conditions. Her latest book, The Great Resignation: The New Refusal of Work, has been translated into several languages and received the Alessandro Leogrande Prize (2024) and the Biella Literature and Industry Prize (2024). She is also a regular contributor to the Italian newspapers Internazionale and la Repubblica.
