About The Author US and Canadian author Arthur Stringer was a prolific writer known for his novels and film screenplays. He was born in Chatham, Ontario and later studied at Oxford University. He wrote poetry and worked as a journalist for the Montreal Herald and American Press Association. He was best known for his crime fiction and his adventure novels including his Prairie trilogy (1915–1922). His films include The Perils Of Pauline (1914), The House Of Intrigue (1919) The Purchase Price (1932) and The Iron Claw (1941).
