Grammatical Analysis is the separating of a sentence into parts according to the functions which the parts perform. Every sentence is possible of division into two grand parts, namely, Subject and Predicate. In many cases theS ubject is made up of parts, and so is the Predicate. The Subject may consist of the realS ubject, theE nlarge: mend and the Complement. The Predicate may consist of the real Predicate, theE xtension, theO bject, theE nlargement of theO bject, and theO bjective Complement. In Analysis we may find two Objects in a sentence, the Indirect and theD irect. The Indirect comes before theD irect. Verbs of urging, making, etc., may seem to take a secondO bject, but it is better to consider the secondO bject an A dverb. Study I made him swift. I made him leave. I made him King.. Here, King is plainly an Adverb of Degree. They deemed Kim penurious. Penuriously deemed is he. Penurious is an Adverb of Manner.
