Synopsis
In this novel approach to the sixteenth season of the UZDRA tournament you see the developing drama of the tournament structure as the races unfold. All happenings are as they occur in the game without manipulation or prior knowledge by the game player. The dialogue and narrative threads provide details about the sport of thoroughbred racing through the virtual lives of the athletes, both human and equine. This chronicle was written as the game was played and as it unfolded through the fifty tournament races and three championships. Each segment was composed within the time frame of the races. No alteration of race details, jockey interviews, or wagering odds were made after the fact. All is reported as it occurred in the game. The pages are formatted so the results of each race appear on the page following the racing form and Emma Winnah’s informative column, What Goes Around Comes Around. This allows the reader to record virtual wagers without accidentally seeing the race results.
