Synopsis

David Russo is a comfortable liar trapped in the most difficult decision of his life. Told through haunting memories of a dark and deadly passion let loose in Atlanta and West Hollywood, David wrestles with his conscience as he is forced to accept his role in the death of not just one lover, but two. What will become of this man who continues to run from all that he knows and all that continues to hold him? In the end, will all the black little eyes that follow him throughout the City of Angels pierce deep his soul, or will David find a way to escape their judgment and dissembling desire forever? Author Steve Cirrone holds a PhD in English from the Claremont Graduate School (1997) and is published in several genres, including drama (The Tragedy of Doctor Gnosis), memoire (Natural Venus) and philosophy (Secular Morality). He has won national awards for his magazine journalism (QSF) in San Francisco where he also bartended regularly in the Castro district. He currently lives with husband Charley and their beloved doodle Isabel in Sacramento and teaches English literature, composition and creative writing at City College.
