9781394257713: Multimodal Intelligent Sensing in Modern Applications

Synopsis

"Recent years have seen a massive upsurge in the use of Internet-of-Things and wireless sensors to meet the ever-increasing quality of service (QoS) demands. Intelligent systems rely on multi-modal information from various sensors such as wearable devices, smart phones, implanted sensors, and driving assistants to monitor aspects such as environment, physiological status, health, and lifestyle aspects. Despite huge benefits, multi-modal sensing brings greater challenges. Being energy-efficient, mobile, reliable, interference-free, are some of the physical requirements for the sensors. This book focuses on state-of-the art and recent advances in methods and applications employing multimodal intelligent sensing"-- Provided by publisher.
