Biographie de l'auteur

As both parent and teacher, Enola Pirog tells the problems of public schools and the frustration of all concerned. During thirty years of teaching in several schools, she was able to compare their principals' administrative styles. As a teachers' union delegate, committee member and chairperson, and as political action lobbyist she learned about education conditions that are common to all cities. In Chicago, she helped organize Save Our Little Village Education and Citizens for Better Community Colleges. She assisted Para Asistencia Latina Al Barrio Con Respeto Ajeno, a community organization and for ten years was a member of her local and district school councils. Pirog has three academic degrees and a teacher's certificate in Suggestopedia (speed learning). She has written scripts and music for children's musical plays, five of which were enacted by her classes on WBEZ radio programs. She writes free lance articles about religion and parapsychology and has authored a published novel, Miracle Man.
