By the Pricking of My Thumb is a story of love, hate, betrayal, murder, intrigue, and finally, justice. It takes place in a small, quaint village of St. Gilliam, on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, thirty minutes from the walled city of York, England. The murders tear apart the hearts of two families and friends, while terrorizing the quiet little village for a fortnight. It is fast paced and descriptive, some factual events, but mostly fictional with a host of lovable characters.

Viva was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and educated in British Columbia. She lived in the United States for a number of years, but then took up residence in Great Britain. She fell in love with the English village life and her mysteries revolve around the places she knows so well and loved. After her marriage to an Irish citizen, they traveled all over Europe for research and relaxation. They now reside in British Columbia close to family and friends, some of whom reside in the United States. She loves meeting people, going to quaint places and antiquing.
