Biographie de l'auteur

Eileen Shannon was born in Benito, Manitoba. The first ten years of her life was spent on a homestead in a small Swedish community called Alpine in the northern part of Manitoba. Her Mother had been a schoolteacher and when it became impossible to make a living on the farm in the 1930s she taught school in southern Manitoba. There the family lived in a small living quarters that was attached to the school for the duration of world war two while her Father worked at building Camp Shilo for training army personnel. They moved to home in Brandon, Manitoba after the war and remained there, until they all moved to British Columbia.
