Every aspect including the depression, created different and interesting challenges to overcome. From early childhood, to military service, through the courtship of his wife, Dale, to building a career in accounting and raising a family, his story tells of a man with a multitude of interests and passions for life, growing up in West Texas. With some 75+ years to his credit, Emil has managed to raise four children and eleven grandchildren in very diverse times. His story shows an overshadowing angel looking after his decisions that followed him through out his life and is still doing so today.
