He attended the University of California as Los Angeles for three years majoring in political science. After four years in the Army of the United States, he returned to UCLA for another three years and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology. He graduated from New Your University, Bellevue Medical Center, College of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree. After internship, he spent three years in residency at New York University, Bellevue Medical Center and was ultimately certified a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.He practiced medicine in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehablilitation for twenty-five years.In the past nineteen years, since retirement, he has taken many courses in creative writing at Arizona University. He has always thoroughly enjoyed writing.
