Synopsis
Captain Pike discovers that looking after a baby isn't quite as easy as he thought it would be in this crazy piratical mix of cutlasses and lullabies, treasure maps and nappies. Having a baby on board ship doesn't go down well with the other pirates -- they're tough buccaneers, not baby minders! But when Captain Whitebeard and his crew attack the ship, it turns out some pirates have a soft spot for babies...and at last Captain Pike learns how to cope with his offspring. With a story to really make children giggle and bright, colourful illustrations bursting with energy and comic detail from an exciting new artist, these pirates are hard to resist!

À propos des auteurs
Marjorie Newman is a former teacher and award-winning children’s author, whose wonderfully humorous stories include such diverse characters as a little mole and a band of pirates. A keen musician, artist, and animal lover, Marjorie lives in Southampton.
Kate Pankhurst lives in Leeds with her family and spotty dog, Olive. She has a studio based in an old spinning mill where she writes and illustrates children’s books. Her projects have included the Fantastically Great Women series and Mariella Mystery Investigates series. Kate is distantly related to the suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, something that has been an influence on the type of books she enjoys creating for children.
