Synopsis
Die Autorinnen beginnen mit einer umfangreichen Darstellung radiografischer Bilder sowohl des Knochenbaus wie auch der Weichteile, um anschließend eine Reihe von Aufnahmen zu erläutern, die unter Verwendung von Kontrastmitteln entstanden. Sowohl Studierende als auch Praktiker dürften die Unterschiede in der Anatomie von verschiedenen Altersgruppen und Rassen beeindrucken. Die Autoren vermitteln überzeugend, welche anatomischen Eigenschaften als normal gelten dürfen und welcher Befund veterinärmedizinisches Eingreifen erfordert. Immer an der tierärztlichen Praxis orientiert, werden häufige Fallstricke benannt und Hinweise zu Diagnose und Interpretation der Röntgenbilder gegeben. 50 Abbildungen sind in der Neuauflage hinzugekommen, die Qualität vieler Abbildungen wurde verbessert. Beide Autorinnen sind seit den 80er-Jahren intensiv mit der kleintierärztlichen Radiologie befasst. Studenten und Tierärzte lernen hier von zwei erfahrenen Spezialistinnen, die die tierärztliche Praxis genau kennen.

À propos de l'auteur
Arlene Coulson was awarded her Diploma in Veterinary Radiology by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), London, in 1980 and has since continually offered a consultant veterinary radiology service for veterinary surgeons in general practice. She has served as Chairman of the RCVS Radiology Board.
Noreen Lewis was awarded her Diploma in Veterinary Radiology by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, London, in 1978. She has since been continually involved in radiography and radiology within both general practice and specialist centres.
Both authors have acted as postgraduate tutors and served as examiners for the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Radiology.
