Julie Schaffner received her PhD in development economics from Yale Univ. She taught at Stanford Univ for 13 years and at Boston Univ (which has strong development group) for 3 years. She has been a consultant for the World Bank and UNESCO. She presently is an Assoc Prof of International Economics at Tufts Univ.'s Fletcher School of Diplomacy and teaches to only masters level students.
