Synopsis
'Charlotte's Web: The Essential Guide' is a non-fiction book based on the movie 'Charlote's Web'. The story begins when a little girl named Fern rescues a piglet and names him Wilbur and is devoted to him until eventually he is re-homed on a neighbouring farm. Wilbur's new home is a barn filled with interesting characters, one of whom - Charlotte the spider - becomes his closest friend. The book focuses on the unlikely friendship between the affectionate pig and the unassuming spider. Normally a happy-go-lucky pig, Wilbur, is devastated to learn that the fate of all spring pigs is the smokehouse, and Charlotte is determined to save her friend, spinning some extraordinary webs that convince the farmer that Wilbur is no ordinary animal.
