Brian Falkner was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. He has worked as a radio journalist, radio announcer, graphic designer and internet developer. He has also written several novels for children, including The Real Thing (9781406312386), The Flea Thing and The Super Freak (9781406316117), all of which are set in Glenfield High School. He lives on the North Shore of Auckland.
