Présentation de l'éditeur

The Way of Salvation in The Lutheran Church. We have been asked again and again how we came to write the book. In sending forth this new, revised and enlarged Jubilee Edition, which is the thirtysecond thousand, we comply with the request and briefly tell the story. The Author had grown up in a non-L utheran community. None of his companions were Lutherans. His father, a plain German farmer, was a devout Lutheran. He helped to organize the first German Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh. He preferred the German. As the children grew up in the public school they were among those who talked and thought and played and dreamed in English.
