Hari's family are fisher folk, but with no fish left in their bay, times are hard. Bamba Beach is a contemporary Indian story set in Goa.

À propos de l'auteur

Pratima Mitchell comes from a family of writers and was first published at the age of eleven. She has written over 22 books, the most recent of which include a picture book, Petar's Song, illustrated by Caroline Binch (Frances Lincoln), and Indian Mutiny for the My Story series (Scholastic). Her latest novel for teens, The Crow Her Brother, will be published by Walker Books in 2009.
