Dr. Ruth McQuirter Scott is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Brock University in Ontario, Canada, where she teaches language arts to pre-service teachers and graduate courses on writing. Her freelance work has appeared in major newspapers across Canada and on CBC radio.
