Synopsis

In Barbados a toddler shrieks in pain from a jellyfish sting. In Hawaii a child sees a black kite in the sky just before she dies.
The cows have come home to bite.
In America newly elected President Glenn Forbes is handed a terrible legacy from his predecessors. Across the Atlantic outbreaks of Foot and Mouth and Mad Cow Diseases are taking a toll on England as public demonstrations grow violent. Despite a vote of no confidence, Prime Minister Alistair Cain refuses to resign over a reported military alliance with Russia that is jeopardizing Great Britain´s relations with America.

Something sinister is a work, but what?
Only George Goater, a bumbling, drunken Englishman, and General Howard Kingsman, an American war hero, can sort it out as they embark on wild and often hilarious investigations in England, Barbados and Hawaii.

When George Goater is forced to retire, he expects to live a peaceful country life. He does not expect to be strong-armed by CIA agents or to find a strange woman living at his father's farm. He would never dream of mixing with the rich and famous at an exclusive Barbados resort or winning the love of an aristocrat.

In carrying out a top-secret mission for the President, confirmed bachelor General Howard Kingsman expects to quickly and quietly resolve the problem threatening his country. He does not expect to confront the long buried sins of his youth, and he certainly does not anticipate falling in love with a subordinate.
