Synopsis

Robert Kent's first award-winning novel, The Trinity Trap, takes a deep dive into a mindless abyss of kidnapping and murder. Don't expect the drawn-out pages of a clueless chase after a phantom who conveniently knocks on the door at the end of the book. Be prepared to lumber a heavy pack up a steep cliff, where the thin air reeks with betrayal, drugs, and sex, and every icy crevice is a clue closer to a bloody slice away from death. When little Lisa Stevens is kidnaped for ransom by four vicious killers who don't care that the child can identify them, the last thing the Mayor and Chief Bill "Fatso" Gordon want is a private detective making them look bad in front of multi-millionaire Foster Stevens, grandfather to Lisa Stevens, who contributes a million dollars a year to the Philadelphia Police Force. Ex-cop Robert Lane, has difficulty finding direction while trying to weave through the mesh of an old heartache, a shattered family, a hostile police force, and his own life in constant peril, that is, until he begins to fall in love with the sweet, innocent picture of little Lisa Stevens.
