Synopsis

Kathleen M. Schurman,a journalist and playwright, lives at Locket's Meadow in Connecticutwith her husband, David Melina, and dozens of animal friends, most of themrescues.¿ She is on the board ofdirectors of Foal Adoption Network, Inc. (FANI) and Foal Aid Support Team (FASTeam, Inc).¿ Muchof her time is spent listening as the animals tell their stories, then writingthem down so everyone can hear their voices.¿A percentage of all sales of this book go towards horse rescue projectsthrough the above-named charities.About the illustratorCatherine W. Hamillis a professional artist who lives and paints in Milford, Connecticut.¿ She is active in the Milford Fine ArtsCouncil and is the manager of the Firehouse Gallery at Walnut Beach Village.¿ Catherine's paintings are exhibitedthroughout the world, and she is best known for capturing the spirit of ascene, a moment, or a gentle burro with a big heart.
