Synopsis
The Traitor is a novel written by Thomas Dixon Jr. that tells the story of the fall of the Invisible Empire, also known as the Ku Klux Klan. The novel revolves around the character of Frank Beverley, a young man who joins the Klan in order to fight against what he perceives as the growing threat of African American political power in the South. However, as he becomes more deeply involved in the organization, Frank begins to realize that the Klan's actions are not only immoral but also ineffective in achieving their goals.As Frank struggles with his conscience and tries to find a way out of the Klan, he must confront the powerful and dangerous leaders of the organization, who will stop at nothing to maintain their hold on power.
