HIGH RISE is a fast-paced, fun, sometimes gritty story about 3 women, at different stages in their lives. It delves deep into your heart eliciting numerous strong emotions as you experience all their joys, heartbreaks, devastation, pain and rebirth. You'll relive a few of your own as you identify with these women. Apartment 13A is a young single African-American woman, Cheyenne Davis who falls in love with a younger African-American man, Brandon Williams. Apartment 9J is an Italian-American couple, Joe is a second generation fireman, Connie is a stay-at-home mom to their 6-year-old daughter Tiffani. The Lauriello's are struggling with their unhappy, often too physical marriage. Apartment 27D is a young African-American secretary Michele Jones who becomes involved with an Irish-Scottish Junior Executive Mark Karelle at the bank they both work at on Wall Street. These 3 women live in the same high rise apartment building in New York and have never met, but they have more in common than they will ever know. They will each experience the same circumstance but all with a completely different outcome. Which one(s) make it out of their predicament unscathed? Let's peel back the walls of Tiffany Towers, look inside and see what happens!

Donna Michele Ramos is a transplanted New York native who has been a Californian for the last 17 years. She attended Fordham University, Rosehill Campus, Bronx, NY in the 80's but did not graduate college CSUS Sacramento until Spring 2000. A proud accomplishment, showing it's never too late. She is the mother of a son and a daughter, and the grandmother of four little ones, 3 girls (including a set of identical twins) and 1 boy. She enjoys playing and spending time with them as often as possible. She is a civil service employee and has been for 16 years. Donna has been writing since the fourth grade, she started with children's stories. An avid reader, who also loves traveling, she writes when the mood hits her; pretty often. There are several more manuscripts waiting in the wings to be published. This is her first self-published novel. There are two children's books on the back burner also. There's definitely much more, be on the look out. She will be releasing her second novel "Borrowed Time", her first Historical Romance set during the Civil War in Spring 2005. To wet your appetite, read the Epilogue of this novel. She loves hearing from readers: Email her at kamea77@aol.com with comments and to get advance notice of the release dates of her new books and book signings, she would love to meet you.
