The aim and goal of this book isto carry on the legacy of the greats that have come before me like LangstonHughes, Emile Dickinson, Pablo Neruda andothers.¿ This book aims at allowing thesoul to speak unobstructed and unrestricted in any way shape or form.¿ Many times, in this fast pace society, wedon't stop and listen to the existential questions and concerns that our soulwants us to tend to.¿ These poems came tofruition out of an inner necessity not just to console my soul but moreimportantly to console the souls of others that can make a connection withthese poems, which I prefer to call letters.¿They're letters in that, in them, I carry on conversations with myselfbut not just for myself.¿ Sometimes aletter is a personal conversation and sometimes the letter is a type ofpedagogical monologue, one that seeks to get the reader to look at a topic froma different perspective or with a more critical sensibility.¿ This book is truly a testament to the art ofwriting, which uses the following fundamental question as a beginning to theseletters and that question is- What does it mean to be alive?¿ When it comes to dealing with issuesinvolving life, society, love, history, philosophy or religion, which the readerwill encounter in this book many times we find ourselves existentially fightingto make sense of all the dynamics these issues entail.¿ It is through the art of writing that thesetopics can be best deciphered and brought to the forefront with the hopes thatanswers can come and so we can better steer ourselves towards happierexistential routes.¿ As long as oneperson was reached with a particular letter in this book, my soul feels humbledand relieved.¿
