Synopsis

From a note encrypted on a Persian rug, an unlikely trio of acquaintances find themselves in a high stakes race to stay one step ahead of a dreaded Chinese triad, the Flying Dragons. Ron Tracer, a U.S. rug merchant, Eli Whitewater, a modern Native American and Jeannie Lipton, a 'finished' English woman with a wicked roundhouse punch find danger aplenty after deciphering the rug's message. Their discovery takes them from Bahrain, to the middle of Saudi Arabia's "empty quarter' to Pakistan, to India, then on to Israel. Only their heroic efforts manage to keep them alive after a world-stunning discovery in the empty quarter. The end brings a romance between Eli and Jeannie, but Tracer remains focused on their survival.

Biographie de l'auteur

Alan De Wolfe was raised in Corning, NY near the beginning of World War II. After mastering illustration techniques he went 'on the road' as a contract artist serving heavy industry in the U.S. and foreign countries for thirty years. A thorough memory served him well as people from allover the world recited tale after tale about the loves, lies and conflicts in their varied international lives. His stories are fragments of their narratives glued together by the common bonds of desperation, joy and love that makes the human experience a saga. RUGS is his third novel. It begins the adventures of Ron Tracer.
