D.J. Courtney grew up in Arizona.¿ She lived the first 7 years of her life in Prescottwith her grandparents, in a home with no television or radio.¿ Books, reading and storytelling were an earlyand significant part of her life, and from thatbeginning grew her love of writing.¿ For over ten years, the authorworked as a cross-country truck driver.¿During this time, she continued writing.¿Thorga was written entirely in the bunk of a semi-truck, with the lastthird of the novel being completed during a weekend layover in Portland Oregon.Thorgais the author's second published work, with several other novels currently invarious stages of completion.
