Gary Sherman has spent more than 20 years researching the history of the Great Northern Railway and it's crossing the Cascade Mountains in Washington State.He studied history and social geography at the University of Washington. He is a free-lance writer with numerous stories printed in magazines in the United States and Canada. Mr. Sherman serves as a historical researcher for numerous museums, historical societies, and has contributed to a number of biographical television programs.This is his first novel. Mr. Sherman lives in Seattle.
