Biographie de l'auteur

K. Wallin was raised in a small town in Northern Wisconsin, once a whistle stop along the Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul & Omaha railroad and a shipping point for logging operations in the vicinity. As a child he played in the remnants of the logging era, building a fort in the old lumber train roundhouse and hunting along the old railroad grades and logging trails. While performing research for the town's centennial book in 1984, he became enamored of the story of the people; the loggers, the farmers and tradesmen that had carved this village out of the wilderness. In "A Lumbertown Tale" he brings this story to life; the drama, the hardships, the joys and the sorrows.
