Sparks Flew! If the author hasn't worked disasters, she certainly knows people who have. The book relates how the adrenalin rush spurs ordinary folks to do extraordinary fetes. The characters in Sparks Flew! Are drawn from personages who do these deeds, volunteers, search and rescue dogs and communications experts. The reader can almost smell the fire. As a long time REACT volunteer, monitor/dispatcher and writer of several articles and contest winning stories, Jennison takes you to the scene of danger, the scene of tenderness and love. There just happen to be a smattering of heroic females in the mix, cowboy or two and animals. What more could one ask? This is a good read when you want something other than cops and robbers or spies and more spies.
