Synopsis

Samuel F. B. Morse His Letters And Journals is a book that contains a compilation of letters and journals written by Samuel F. B. Morse, an American inventor and artist who is best known for his invention of the telegraph and the Morse code. The book provides readers with a unique insight into Morse's personal and professional life, including his struggles and triumphs as an artist, his experiences during his travels in Europe, and his efforts to develop and promote his telegraph invention. The letters and journals are presented in chronological order, providing readers with a clear and comprehensive picture of Morse's life and career. The book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in the history of technology, art, or American culture, and provides a fascinating glimpse into the life of one of America's most important inventors and artists.""The depressed situation of all my associates in the invention has thrown the whole burden of again attempting a movement entirely on me. With the trifling sum of five hundred dollars I could have had my instruments perfected and before Congress six months ago, but I was unable to run the risk, and I therefore chose to go forward more slowly, but at a great waste of time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
