Tim Hobbs initiated his career as a problem-solver in the US Navy, earning the coveted Sailor of the Year award at the young age of 19 at his first duty station in Keflavik, Iceland. While serving, he maintained telecommunications, navigation, combat, alarms and power distribution systems throughout the world. After over nine years and three prestigious Naval Achievement Medals, Tim decided to leave the Navy to spend more time with his family. He began a career in the semiconductor industry, where, within months of starting the new job, he was solving cutting-edge technical problems that had eluded his peers for weeks and even months. Due to his strong problem-solving and team leadership skills he was able to advance from a technician to a senior equipment engineer. He is a sought after problem-solving expert within his field of expertise. He received a B.S. in Information Systems and M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He is the Founder and President of Hobbs Technical Consulting, LLC and an in-demand keynote motivational speaker. Through his innovative professional problem-solving seminars and workshops, he trains organizations and professional groups how to effectively solve problems in a team environment. Tim has an innate passion to help others succeed. His mission is to train the next generation of professional problem-solvers. He is a member of the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) College of Education Dean’s Advisory Board. He is also an adjunct professor at UCCS. In 2006, he was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his strong community involvement. Tim Hobbs lives with his wife Lashunder and three children in Colorado Springs, CO.
