People tend to think of themselves as either the center of the world or part of the herd. The roots of bias lie within our biology and in the distinction between self and non-self. Equipped with a clear understanding of bias, we can begin making a decisive change. Bias, which forms the basis of our everyday existence amid the "rat-race," when understood better by more people, could cease to be a threat and almost become a cause for entertainment.
