M. M. "Steemy" Holt is now retired after 35 years of owning and managing her own businesses and rental properties. She was raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and came to Washington State in 1946. She now lives in the Seattle area in Washington State. Mrs. Holt writes: "While working with resident managers, I became alarmed with their lack of guidance and training. They seemed hungry for information concerning their field. After extensive research I found the situation has not changed much in the last 30 years. This book is in response to that need"
