Biographie de l'auteur

Darryl Hester was born in Oxford, North Carolina. He was born in a family of five children. His experiences as a child began as he learned at early years to farm and pick tobacco in the fields. It was a subtle lifestyle, innocent and adventurous. Later, as he grew older, at the young age of 5 he moved with his mother north to the city of Camden, New Jersey where he was introduced to the inner-city streets, where he learned to survive as a young man. His life travels, experiences, and encounters are stories worth listening to. In the upcoming years, growing into manhood, Darryl enlisted in the United States Army. This is where it would be that his life would change. At the age of 38 years, Darryl was appointed to the position of Postmaster and received recognition for being the 1st African American ever appointed in the history of Salem County, in Salem, New Jersey.
