Roy Digby Thomas is an indirect descendant of George Digby, and author of Digby: The Gunpowder Plotter's Legacy, a biography of George Digby's cousin, Kenelm. He spent four years researching this book, and has uncovered fresh information about George Digby. This has enabled him to reappraise the life of this famous statesman, and set the record straight. He also throws new light on the important part played by George's wife, Anne, in the restoration of King Charles II.
