Dr. Ramage, is currently a psychotherapist, in private practice specializing in Gerontology. He holds degrees in both clinical social work and behavioral psychology. He is a diplomate in clinical social work, a fellow and diplomate in medical psychotherapy, and is an an activity consultant certified with the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals. He is listed in Who''s Who in the American Academy of Human Services and in Who''s Who Among Human Service Professionals. A life - long student of human behavior, Dr. Ramage received his undergraduate degree at Delta State University. His graduate training was completed at the University of Tennessee, Florida State, and Walden Universities. He interned in the Departments of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As an intern, he was privileged to be a student of the renowned Psychiatrist, Author and Lecturer, Dr. Viktor Frankl, Psychiatrists Drs. Joe D. Woddail and James C. Folsom, of the Menninger Clinic, and a noted social worker, author, Family Therapist and Lecturer, Dr. Virginia Satir. Dr. Ramage, ACSW, LCSW, PIP, ACC is presently CEO of Associated Healthcare Consultants, a company he founded in 1970 to address the psychological needs of nursing home residents and their families. The philosophy which Dr. Ramage brought to the company was to provide a program of services which adhered to a team approach, continuity of care and to the basic principles of behavior modification. He mandated that all activity plans be developed by an interdisciplinary team and contain four basic elements of service: 1) goals, 2) objectives, 3) strategies and 4) evaluation, a program procedure now required in most nursing home facilities by Federal and State Regulatory Agencies.
