Pseudonym of English author, adventurer and traveller George Chetwynd Griffith-Jones. He earned great fame as a science fiction writer in the last decade of the nineteenth century. His most popular work is A Honeymoon in Space (1901). In his writings the influence of Darwinian Theory of evolution is quite apparent. Griffith's major works include The Angel of the Revolution (1893), Olga Romanoff (1894), The Outlaws of the Air (1898), The World Masters (1903), and A Conquest of Fortune (1906).
A marvel of science fiction, this is a most engrossing tale. With the protagonists taking off into space for their honey moon trip, the narrative is enticing and riveting. With detailed descriptions about space surroundings and the sentiments of the couple, the book cannot be put down till the very last.
