Born and schooled in a former satellite communist country; steeped on his own in works of authors such as Homer, Erich Fromm, Joseph Conrad, Franz Kafka, Dostoyevsky, Ernest Hemingway, and Albert Camus, to name just a few; his brain douched in the modern propaganda machine's sprinkle system of radio, TV, Hollywood, newspapers, and magazines; hustled and shoved by the legal system, Peter Kerestur has had a unique opportunity to compare the political systems on both sides of the Atlantic, and to watch the once paragon of freedom and individual liberty decaying and drawing nearer and nearer to the totalitarian system which had not so long ago just crashed. From their residence in Bushkill, PA, he and his beautiful wife of over thirty years watch anxiously and in disbelief the only democratic country in the world in the process of yet another democracy being dismantled in the name of democracy, and once again progress being turned into regress under the auspices of progress.
An ordinary man leaves his house for a routine drive to work in order to earn his daily bread. Ten minutes into his drive, he is stopped by utility workers fixing a piece of road damaged by the last night's torrential flood storm, and his trip is inadvertently delayed. Pressed by time to be still on time for work, the legal system shows its true teeth and catches up on him. Wrapping its claws around him, the system arbitrarily turns his normally innocent trip into an unexpected nightmarish show of bureaucratic power on loose.
