Biographie de l'auteur

This is the author''s first book-length work. She has been interested in Lincoln since childhood in Charleston, Illinois, stimulated by visits to the nearby Lincoln family farm. After moving with her husband and family to Clinton in 1953, she discovered there is a rich Lincoln history in De Witt County. Her research was initially for her own satisfaction and pleasure, spending many hours looking for those special "nuggets" of information in the microfilms of early newspapers and files of newspaper clippings provided by local and state resources. Her interest has extended over fifteen years and has resulted in a personal collection of over sixty Lincoln books. Her focus has been his years as an attorney with the Eighth Judicial Circuit and interaction with local citizens. The decision to assemble this information resulted in this book.
